By using the harmony and symphony created by the movement of swarms of birds, Beth manages to evoke various feelings and emotions in the minds of her viewers.

Seagulls act as a spiritual symbol to Beth. She sees them as representations of hope, positivity and a sense of community that is often missing in today’s world. She personally sees a swarm of seagulls as “saviors” or “messengers” for the human race.

Through this exhibition of her monochromatic works, she has tried to create an immersive experience for visitors with the use of light and contrast together with the bird in flight. Eventually, she hopes that this contrast between dreams and reality is able to generate a subliminal message for viewers.

The Artist Speaks

Through my work, I most often try to convey a mood. Whether that mood is peace, hope, tranquility or turbulence, they are all a part of the feelings I have experienced in my life. Through this exhibition of my monochromatic works, I have tried to create an immersive experience for visitors with the use of light and contrast together with the bird in flight. Eventually, I hope this contrast between dreams and reality is able to generate a subliminal message for viewers.”
