Photo Contest : Color the World Orange

To support UN’s 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence Campaign, Color the World Orange (CTWO) has partnered up with GP Gallery to sponsor a photo contest.

The United Nation Women’s (UN Women) 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence Campaign is an annual international campaign that kicks off on 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and runs until 10 December, Human Rights Day.

The global theme for this year is “Orange the world: End violence against women now!

To support this cause, CTWO has opened a sim and has partnered up with Equalizer E-magazine/ Scala Productions, Pemberley and GP Gallery to sponsor a photo contest.

The theme of the contest is “Reflections of Hope“.

The competition will be judged by a representative each from the Sponsors. Of all submissions, 18 finalists will be selected to present their works at GP Gallery. The top 3 winners will be announced during the Campaign’s closing event at GP Gallery on 10 December 2021 @ 11:30 PM SLT.

Prizes for the Contest

  • 1st Prize – L$5,000
  • 2nd Prize – L$3,000
  • 3rd Prize – L$2,000

Rules of the Contest

  • Please be creative with your submissions. Preference will be given to creative, out of the box approaches to the theme’s essence. All entries must have a touch of the color ORANGE.
  • Photos must be taken on CTWO sim and must be clearly identified as such.
  • Photos will be judged on composition, style, creativity and general appeal.
  • Post-photo editing is allowed for touch ups only – no significant work that changes the original image completely.
  • Submissions MUST include “#colortheworldorange2021 and Your Name”.
  • Multiple entries are allowed but restricted to TWO entries per person.
  • Submissions to be added to the Flickr group set up specifically for this contest: https://www.flickr.com/groups/14834512@N22/
  • Entries open until the 8th of December 2021, 12 PM SLT

Judging

  • Top 18 to be chosen by a representative each from the Sponsors of the Event: CTWO and Kiyori Project, Equalizer E-magazine/ Scala Productions, Pemberley and GP Gallery.
  • Final 3 will be selected by the same panel of 4 judges.
  • All decisions are final.
  • Finalists will be invited to display their work at the GP Gallery, as well as to parade their creation at the awarding event on the 10th of December 2021 @ 11:30 PM SLT.
  • Finalists do NOT have to be present at the awarding event to win as it is an international effort.
